WRITING
Using any of the strategies we have used throughout the year, learn your words for the week and record them in your homework book.

*As we will continue to explore puberty, we ask that you conduct an interview with your parents. You will receive an organiser “My Birth Interview”. The organiser has the prompts you need to conduct the interview. Please complete this task with adequate detail, remembering capitalisation for proper nouns, punctuation and neat handwriting. You may include photos/draw pictures if you like – but it is not compulsory. This sheet will be used during class time so please remember it for Thursday (30th November) when your homework is due.

* Test yourself on how many words you can type per minute. Choose a 1-minute test (for example, the Rules of Baseball). http://www.typingtest.com/
*Record your touch typing speed (including accuracy and errors). Based on your results, write one goal to focus on for next week.
* Touch typing – access the Google extension on your Chromebook called “Typing Club”. Continue exploring these tasks.

GRADE 6s ONLY
* One of the tasks the Graduation Committee has asked you to do is to write a ‘Letter to your Prep self’. In the letter, you need to reflect upon your life at St Bede’s and the advice or reassurances you would have given yourself for your journey in Primary School. You can include the experiences you’ve had, give yourself advice about making friends, about the sorts of things you wish you’d known or done … you can make it humorous too, like saying I wish I should have known that skorts or my buzz cut as a fashion statement wasn’t a good idea!”
The letter should be a reflection about how far you’ve come in your years of schooling at St Bede’s.
This letter should be handwritten and placed in an envelope. On the front of the envelope, write “Advice to my Prep self” and then bring it to school to give to Mila who will pass it on to her mum, Grace.
